WATERCOLOR TRIO

Hi Stampers!

Yesterday morning I was playing with my new stamp set WATERCOLOR TRIO. Wow! do I LOVE this set! It is in the current SUMMER MINI CATALOG.......and we will be using it at my upcoming SUMMER MINI OPEN HOUSE on May 29th.

I used an Old Olive ink pad and markers (Old Olive, Melon Mambo, Crushed Curry) to color on the images....which I stamped on a piece of textured vanilla cardstock, which I lined with a piece of Melon Mambo. I used the Perfect Polka Dot embossing folder under that and the card's base is Old Olive cardstock. The 5/8" Old Olive satin ribbon is featured in the Summer Mini too. I think the card turned out really nice considering I started out not even intending to make a card :-)

Stamping is sooo FUN!!!

AWASH WITH FLOWERS & KITTENS

Hi Stampers!

I hope your week is going well.....we have had a GREAT week.

Last week I went to my upline's for a demonstrator meeting.....we discussed many things about our SU businesses including the recent Color Renovation, etc. We also made a Make-n-Take using the set AWASH WITH FLOWERS, which will be available in the new 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog ....where is what we made.....

What is cool about this card is that the Top Note portion is what opens....this is what the inside looks like....

We used the Color Spritzer tool.....this has become one of my favorite tools!!! It just adds that special "zing" to whatever you spritz!

Also, the big news around our house is that our cat, which we thought had vanished (we live in the country where our cats are here one day and gone the next) came back.....and she had had 6 KITTENS!!! We didn't know exactly where at first, but after searching we found them in a wood pile in the back of our property. The kids brought them up to the house and they are now living under our BBQ....they are ADORABLE!!! Here's a couple of pictures that Madison took of them....

ELEMENTS OF STYLE ~ SET OF CARDS

Hi Stampers!

Today, I'm going to show you what I did with my club leftovers. They were leftovers from this card. Elements of Sytle is such a WONDERFUL stamp set....a definite MUST HAVE!!! Here is a picture of all 4 fours cards (sorry the picture isn't very good).....What you can't tell from the pictures is that each floral image is sprayed with the new Smooch Spritz sprays that are being offered in the Summer Mini. They are the BEST!!!!

Then here are close-ups of each one....except the red one which was already posted.

This last one shows the envelopes I made to match....

I will be giving this set away at my upcoming SUMMER MINI OPEN HOUSE on Saturday, May 29th from 10-2pm at my home. SOME NEW COOL SIDE BARS

Hi Stampers!

I have been busy stamping....but also busy doing some "business" stuff too. As I said, I am going to be working on beefing up my Stampin' Up! business and part of that includes updating my blog. So, I have added a few new side bar buttons.....all of which are links to important information about current SU promotions, the new color renovation, and the SU Clearance Rack (which is VERY COOL). So, check those out!!!

I have taken some pictures of cards that I've recently made....but it is after midnight right now and I'm too bushed to upload those. I will post again tomorrow.

Oh....a friend asked me to help her with some thank you cards...so I am working on that too. They are for some gals who helped set up dessert at our church's recent women's conference. The dessert was cupcakes.....so, of course, the thank yous need to look like cupcakes, right? :-) I've made the template so tomorrow I want to work on actually making one of the cards. I think we are going to get together and make all of them on Saturday afternoon......so if we do, I will be sure and take pictures.....and I better get with it so that we have something to make!!

MORE ON THE COLOR RENOVATION

Hi Stampers!

Well.....I recently told you about the big Color Renovation, but I wanted to let you know a bit more.

Stampin' Up! is making some BIG changes in their color palette on July 1st. After MUCH research, SU will do an extreme makeover in their color collections. They will condense their colors down to 40 (excluding the In Colors) and break those down to 4 collections....Brights, Subtles, Regals, and Neutrals.....condensing the colors also means having to retire some much-loved colors. I think they have worked to come up with the best of the best in colors.

Below are 2 color charts showing these changes. The first one lists all the colors that are retiring on June 30th....

This second list is all the new color collections along with some new colors.......

I am SUPER EXCITED about these upcoming changes....even though change can at times be hard.

For those of you wanting to stock up on retiring colors....ink pads, re-inkers, paper, etc.....you need to hurry and order because some stock is "while supplies last". SU is not going to order more paper, etc. when their inventory runs out.....they will substitute textured cardstock for the regular when it runs out....but when all their supply is depleted.....it's GONE! So, don't wait too long to order those favorites!!!

ELEMENTS OF STYLE ~ CLUB CARD

Hi Stampers!

Today's card uses the Elements of Style stamp set from the new Summer Mini. This is a GREAT set.....so pretty!!! I sure hope this set stays around!!!!

This card's inspiration came from the demonstrator only website Stampin' Connection. The demonstrator's name is Kim Ransom. I changed this card up just a bit.....and I LOVE how it turned out!!!

The card is pretty simple.....I used watercoloring to color the flowers and what you can't tell from the photo is that I sprayed the flowers with Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz which is also in the Summer Mini. These Smooch Spritzes are SO COOL!!!! I hope SU carries them over to the new year!!!

This was the second card that we made at my monthly stamp club yesterday evening.
