We are pretty good readers in our home.....our son is the avid reader, the rest of us are more casual readers or read out of necessity . So, instead of finding scraps of paper to mark our spot in our books, I thought that I would make some bookmarks.

I have seen these cool corner bookmarks and so I whipped out a couple pretty quickly. This month they are actually featured in the monthly SU demonstrator magazine...seeing them there gave me that extra push to go ahead and make them.

Here's the first one that I made.....
They are VERY EASY to make...and I LOVE the fact that they actually serve a functional purpose. Another plus is that they use small pieces of it's another great way to use up all those scraps!

Here is my bookmark in "action".....
I made another one that I will post in the next couple of days.

I asked my husband if he wanted me to make him a masculine one....and he promptly said "No.". I guess he thinks bookmarks are for sissies :-D

Today I'm sharing with you another project that I had my ladies complete at Stamp Club.
We used SU's Matchbox die....which I LOVE!! This little box is so versatile! LOVE IT!!!

Once again, I saw a box like this online that another demonstrator had made and feel in love. I forget about SU's Window Sheets....they are FANTASTIC!! I love the window.
The window is made using the new Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folders (WOW! that's a LONG name for such cute little things) and punched out using the Extra Large Oval. Then all I did was glue a small piece of the Window Sheets over the hole.
So cute and so that is what I call a perfect match!

Today's card is the other card made at my Monday Stamp Club a couple of weeks ago.
I saw a card similar to this to this one online......and knew I had to give it a try. I used 3 of my FAVORITE stamps sets on this cutie!

The grass is from one of all-time favorite sets Inspired by Nature and the eggs are from another favorite Nature Walk....stamped with StazOn Black and colored them in using SU markers. The sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
Before I stamped with grass with Wild Wisabi, I sponged my Whisper White card stock with Bashful Blue to make it look like a sky.....I really love how it turned out.

Well, that's it.....THANKS for visiting!!!

Elementary Elegance Birthday

I keep waiting for life to slow down so that I have time to catch up....but it doesn't seem working! On top of all the other things going on around here, the kids are now swimming 4 days a week which keeps me (and them) hopping.....but swimming does have an upside....they are sooo tired afterwards that they go to bed really EARLY!
Anyways.....I decided I better carve out some time to blog before I forget what my password is to login :-)

Today's card is one that we made a couple of weeks (or more) ago at my Monday Stamp Club. We used the new Sale-A-Bration stamp set Elementary Elegance. This is a great set! And what makes it even better is that it was FREE! and who doesn't like FREE!
Thanks for visiting!!!

Today is my sweet husband's birthday!!

He goes to work REALLY early each the kids wanted to get up and make him breakfast today. So, I got up before the crack of dawn and made breakfast....although the kids got up just in time to eat. It was fun having breakfast together so early and seeing him off to work.....the kids promptly went back to bed as soon as he was out the door ;-)

I know that I have been AWOL when it comes to blogging....I apologize! Gosh! I hadn't realized that it had been over a month since I last blogged! I have some cute cards to post and will work at getting pictures of them so you can see them.

Thanks for visiting!!

Until next time....find some time for stamping!!
