GETTING BACK TO "NORMAL"

Hi Stampers!

I apologize for the lapse in posting....at the beginning of last week my children started feeling a bit sick. Well, that sick feeling turned into pneumonia! I would never have thought that anybody could get pneumonia in the middle of 100 degree temperature! Long story short, they are on some major antibiotics and went back to school yesterday.

So, in the midst of the coughing duets, I haven't had a chance to do a lot of stamping....but a bit. Today's card is one that I think we will be making at my upcoming Stamp Club. I can't seem to get enough of the Awash with Flowers stamp set....I LOVE this set!!!
Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Awash with Flowers, Watercolor Trio (sentiment)
Ink: Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, Certainly Celery
Paper: Whisper White, Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, Regal Rose, Brights DSP, Chocolate Chip DSP (retired)
"Extras": Scallop Circle and 1-3/8" Circle Punches, 5/8" Chocolate Chip Satin Ribbon, Big Shot, Little Leaves Sizzlit, 1/4" Chocolate Chip Epoxy Brads (retired....so sad, I love these little brads)

Well, that's it for me today.....I need to pry those punks of mine out of bed and get them to school. Have a GREAT day!!!

Until next time, find some

time for stamping!!

Blessings......Cindy

3x3 CUTIES

Hi Stampers!

School started last Thursday.....it was quite an adjustment for them.....getting up at 6:30 instead of 9:30!!! But they are both off to a great start. I'll take some pictures of a school project they completed tonight.....I love it when they can use my stamping stuff in their school work!!

Now onto stamping stuff....what else I've been working on is some very cute little 3x3 cards to go into some business packets that I'm going to be brave and hand out to generate some new customers and hopefully book some workshops. (Hey, if you're local and reading this.....How about having a workshop??? :-D There's a FANTASTIC promotion going on right now!!!! $25 in FREE stuff!!!)
The idea for these little cuties came from my friend and upline Karen Angel (click HERE to see her blog)....they were so cute that I just had to "steal" her idea!!
Here is a set of cards that I did......I used the Pinking Hearts Border punch to make the medallion, the Flower Folds Bigz xl die for the flower, and the 1-1/4" circle punch for the middle....both the flower and the circle were embossed using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder. Aren't they cute??? Wouldn't you want to book a workshop after getting one of these??? :-)
Here's a close up....
Then I got experimenting with the other border punches.....the only one that didn't seem to work well was the Scallop Trim border punch.
Within in the next few days, I am going to take my stash of cards and the packets that I've been putting together and head over to a Starbucks and try talking with some folks. I am going to casually drink my coffee while I finish putting my packets together....I'll let you know how I do :-)

Well, I better run....I'm getting nervous just thinking about all this!!!

Until next time, find some time for stamping!!!

Blessings......Cindy

ANOTHER AWASH and SCHOOL STARTS TOMORROW!!!

Hi Stampers,

I can hardly believe it!!! School starts TOMORROW!!! Even though summer isn't officially over for awhile.....once school starts, it feels like summer is over. I'm not sure I'm ready for them to start back to school though! I'm gonna really miss those punks of mine!!! Ahhhh....I'm feeling all sentimental again!!
Just so you know....they don't quite share my sentimentality.....they are all pumped and ready to go. Here's a picture of them while we were on vacation this summer......Don't they seem YOUNG!!! Gosh!! 8th graders!!!
What cornballs!!!
This is how they passed the time in the car.....trying to kill one another and
taking TONS of crazy pictures!
OK...enough about them.

The card that I'm going to show you today is another card that we'll be making at my stamp class on Saturday. The card's base is Whisper White and it is topped with a piece of Brights Patterns DSP Stack (Melon Mambo). I used the corner rounder punch on both the card base and the DSP. I stamped on a Top Note (die cut with the "can-a-card-be-made-without-it" Big Shot). I then stamped the 2 big flowers again on Whisper White card stock and cut out the images and adhered them using Stampin' Dimensionals. The sentiment is from a retired set (sorry...the names escapes me at the moment) and punched with the 1" circle punch and layered using the 1-1/4" and 1-3/8" circle punches.
Easy-Peasy!!!
Well, I better go and get those kids of mine to bed so that they will be all rested and ready for their big day tomorrow.

Until next time, find some

time for stamping!!

Blessings......Cindy

Hi Stampers,

The card that I'm going to share with you today is one that we will be making this Saturday at my "Awash with Flowers" stamp class.
The card's base is Daffodil Delight....which is quickly becoming one of my favorite colors!!! Then I used the always perfect Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder on a piece of Whisper White....around which I tied with 3/8" Daffodil Delight taffeta ribbon (very pretty stuff!!). I accented with Tempting Turquoise cardstock and also stamped the flower outline with Tempting Turquoise ink. The sentiment is from the Define Your Life stamp set and it is stamped with Basic Black. Very simple....and sweet!

Stayed tuned......I will be offering some card kits for sale shortly!!!

I better go....school starts on Thursday, so we are on a count down to get some much needed things done before then.

Until next time, find some

time for stamping!!

Blessings......Cindy

Good Morning Stampers!

Thanks for stopping in....Just wanted to get a quick post in before we go to church and the day starts flying by!

In the spirit of "building my business", I made a few little cards to carry with me that hold my business card. So, when I am out and about talking with somebody, I can easily give them some information about Stampin' Up! with my contact information.

So, I gathered some "stuff" and quickly made these simple cards. I think they turned out pretty cute!!!
I should have taken a picture of the inside (sorry...but it didn't seem necessary at the time)....because what I did was use the Slit Punch (sadly it is now retired) and made a slit to hold my business card. So, now I have a baggie with these little cuties in my purse ready to hand out!!

Well, I gotta run.....

Until next time, find some

time for stamping!!

Blessings......Cindy

OWL PUNCH ~ CLUB CARD

Hi Stampers!

I have had every intention of being a more consistent blogger....but life just seems to keep getting in the way....darn it!! Oh well....I do need to keep my priorities straight though.

This week Madison has been bugged by an ear infection....so today I took her in to see her pediatrician. She not only has an ear infection, but blisters on her eardrums (OUCH!!!). She is on the road to recovery with antibiotics.....so by the time school starts next Thursday she should be 100% and ready for the school year.

Also, this week Andy was away at camp and came home today.....he was EXHAUSTED!!! But he had a WONDERFUL time....we sure missed him though!! I wish I had taken a picture of him when he arrived home....he was COVERED in dirt, along with ALL his belongings!! But I still had to give his dirty face a big kiss!!!

This coming Monday evening is my monthly stamp club.....so I spent some fun time designing a card for them to do. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the new Owl Punch.....there are ENDLESS possibilities!!!
This card was SO EASY to make......I just love how it turned out!
I also have to show you what the inside looks like.....thought it turned out pretty cute too!
All I did was cut a circle out of scrap and place it over my inside piece and stamp it using the Woodgrain background stamp.

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Curly Cute, Woodgrain Background
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Whisper White, Brights Patterns DSP
Ink: Chocolate Chip
"Extras": 2-Step Owl Punch, 2-Step Bird Punch, Big Shot, Scallop Circles #2, Nestabilities: Standard Small Circle

Well, that's it for me today. I need to go and get my sleepy kids into bed!! It is so nice to have them BOTH home!!!

Until next time, find some

time for stamping!!

Blessings......Cindy
