I WON SOME BLOG CANDY

Hi!!! I know it has been awhile since I posted....sorry. I have been doing a bit of stamping, but mostly getting my house in order.

I did want to post some good news that I received.....I won Elizabeth's blog candy that she was offering!!! Elizabeth is GREAT at participating in challenges.....in fact, I have found some of the challenges that I've done from her blog. Check her blog out "The Fortunate Stamper"....it is listed on my Blog List to the right. Here's a picture of what I won.....
PRETTY COOL!!! So, I'm going to be watching my mailbox and looking for my goodies to arrive!!!

Until next time....find some time for stamping!!!

DEAL OF THE WEEK

Here it is....

This is a fun punch.

Sorry I haven't been posting any projects....but I realized that my priorities were somewhat out of whack and I needed to spend less time on the computer. Posting doesn't take all that much time, but it does take some. Like I said before, I am behind in my primary responsibilities and have been feeling quite guilty about it. So, until I can catch up and am able to sit down at the computer without feeling like I should be doing something else....postings (and my stamping) will be slim! Thanks for understanding!!!

Until next time....find some time for stamping...or in my case.....cleaning!!!

DEAL OF THE WEEK

Here it is

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, but I just haven't had a chance to do much personal stamping in the last week.

We have been babysitting, I helped a friend make swaps for Stampin' Up!'s upcoming annual convention, I had my scrapbooking class, my son celebrated his 13th birthday, and we went to a water park for the day to celebrate.....sooo, now my house is a disaster and I'm behind in everything!! My plan is to work like the housewife that I am and get all caught up so that I stamp without guilt!

Until next time....find some time for stamping!!!

POCKET SILHOUETTE SYMPATHY

Happy Monday!!! Hope you had a relaxing weekend and are ready for the week ahead.

Tonight is my monthly stamp club.....I always look forward to spending the evening with this group of ladies!!

Below is one of the cards that we will be making. I CASED this card from this entry on Jennifer Buck's blog "The Buck Stamps Here"....I really like her style. I check in with her blog routinely!! I have added her onto my "Blog List" so that it will make it easy for you (and me!) to check in and see what she has been up to.
The card is made from Whisper White and Kraft cardstock. The new InColor "Soft Suede" matches the Kraft cardstock almost perfectly!!!

Well....I better get going. I've got a full day ahead for me.
Until next time....find some time for stamping!!!

BIG SHOT THANK YOU

Hello on this fabulous Friday!!! Today, we have had a fun day enjoying SUMMER!!! I have got the "summer lazies" in a bad way! My husband claims that it's just the "real me" making a show of it :-D and maybe so....But boy...is it hard to get motivated to do much except lay around the pool, eat, and stamp :-D Ahhhh...whatta life...it's GREAT!!!

Well....in between laying around the pool and eating, I did get a chance to stamp....or rather play with my Big Shot! I recently purchased a couple of more Sizzlit dies and well... I just had to give them a try. What I did was case (Copy And Share Everything) a card from the new 2009-2010 Stampin' Up! Idea Book & Catalog. I copied the card on page 197. Although I used some retired DSP and Kiwi Kiss cardstock. The materials used for this card are listed in the Supply List for the current catalog. This Supply List is VERY handy for when you see a sample in the catalog and want to know what they used to make it. The catalog is also a great place to find color combinations....that is why the catalog is such an INDISPENSABLE resource.

Until next time....find some time for stamping!!!

CAMERA'S BACK HOME & MEDALLION STAMP

Hi!! Yeah!! Not only did my husband and son make it back from camping safe and sound but so did the camera. They had a great time.....I'll share some pictures of their trip at the end of this post.

I haven't done a ton of stamping this week, but I have made a couple of cards. The card that I'm going to share is made with my new Medallion background stamp. This stamp is so beautiful! I know that I haven't done it justice, but at the first opportunity I made a quick card. I definitely want to play with it more since this stamp has so much potential for true works of art!!!
The card's base is a half sheet of More Mustard cardstock. I used More Mustard ink to stamp the Medallion. Then I stamped it again on Whisper White and used the 1-3/4" circle punch to punch out the middle of the image and mounted it with dimensionals. The Best Wishes is from the Oval All stamp set, stamped on Whisper White with More Mustard ink. The ribbon is 5/8" white organza. Very easy!!

Now the camp trip......Here's the guys before they left on their adventure......
Here's Andy fishing.....they didn't catch anything :-( Other fishermen said they weren't having any luck either.....so it wasn't just them. Good thing I packed them some back up dinner!!
Here's Steve cookin' them up some yummy grub! They had a great time together!!! I think times like that are so important for both of them.

Until next time....Find some time for stamping!!!

NO CAMERA....NO CARD

Hope you guys had a great 4th of July and week so far. For the 4th, we went to see our local triple A baseball team. The fireworks show after the game was TOTALLY worth the torture of seeing our team get slaughtered 14 to 5!! At least it wasn't a boring no hitter!! Here's a not-so-good-but-the-best-I-took picture of the fireworks.....our camera isn't good enough to capture just how pretty these were.
My husband and son have gone camping and fishing.....and they have taken the camera! So, I won't be able to show you a card today. Although I am very excited because I received my shipment of new Stampin' Up! stuff!!! The new Medallion background stamp is WONDERFUL!!! So, as soon as the boys get home I will take some pictures and post them!!

Also, on Monday another "Deal of the Week" was posted by Stampin' Up! This week's deal is:

SPLITCOAST'S WEEKLY SKETCH CHALLENGE-235

Hi!! This week is once again flying by!!I can hardly believe that it is July and Thursday....what happened to Monday through Wednesday??!!! Awwww! Summer is going to be gone before I've had all the fun I want to have! I better get with it!!

Today, I made the following card for this week's Wednesday Sketch Challenge (you can see the sketch by clicking here) on Splitcoast. Following sketches and/or color combinations are great ways to get the creative juices flowing. Sometimes the hardest part of stamping is knowing what to do. I have only recently begun participating in Splitcoast challenges and other blog challenges.....and I have found that I REALLY like having some, if not most, of the brain work done for me! They are definitely springboards to go from....some of my better work has been from participating in these challenges.

Anyway....enough about that....now the card. The card's base is a 5x5 piece of textured (one of new favorites) Real Red cardstock. Then I just stamped the images on scraps of Whisper White and punched them out using the 1-1/4" circle punch. Then I punched out Black cardstock using the 1-3/8" circle punch. I then measured and found the center of my card, placed my middle circle and then just eyeballed where the others should go.....easy schmeasy!!! (is that a word :-D)
I might add that I made this card at 5:00 this morning!! My husband was leaving real early this morning and accidentally locked himself out of the house (don't ask :-D). He had to call me to open the door.....anyway....after that I couldn't get back to sleep. I'm sure I'll crash tonight!

Until next time....Find some time for stamping!!!
Blessings, Cindy

Paper: Textured (love it!) Real Red, Black, Whisper White
