Yesterday we spent the ENTIRE day "camping out" at a time trials swim meet. They each qualified to swim 3 individual events and 2 relays.
I'm very proud of the kids for qualifying to be at time trials.....we'll find out on Monday whether they made it to finals. The competition was really TOUGH so if they did qualify for finals it will be by the hair of their chinny-chin-chins! Although, I'm not too concerned about their times as long they enjoy themselves and swim the best they can swim.
It looked like a refuge camp with all the pop-up tents. There were about 8 different clubs at this meet.....each one having a specific spot on the grass.
The kids spent time in between their events playing cards....Madison is the girl on the right with the green cap on and Andy is below her in the white t-shirt.
Here is a pretty cool picture of Andy. He was suppose to swim breaststroke against 2 other boys, but they were no shows, so he had to swim all by himself.....which is hard because you can't gauge whether you're going fast or slow. Although he swam just a couple of tenths slower than his personal best.
Here is a picture of Madison diving in to swim the anchor on a 200 meter medley relay. When I showed her this picture she commented on the official (man in the white shirt) being right there watching her very closely.
I'm so proud of both of them.....they swam their little hearts out!
Thanks for visiting!!!
Until next time, find some time for stamping!
Blessings, Cindy
