Well, it's time to say GOOD BYE to some of our favorite goodies.
These retiring products are only available WHILE SUPPLIES LAST!  Also, some have been discounted up to 70%!!!
So, don't wait until the last could be too late!
When you look at the list.....DON'T PANIC AT THE INK PADS!!!  They are just reconfiguring these.  On June 1, Stampin' Up! will be offering a Firm Foam pad that will offer better ink coverage and therefore a better stamped image.   NO colors are retiring.....except for the 2010-2012 In Colors.

In the next catalog.....not all Stampin' Write Markers will be offered individually.   They will still be offered by color collection, but only select ones will be offered individually.

The items marked with an asterisk next to them are only being reconfigured.....meaning they are going to be in the next catalog but only repackaged or changed in some fashion (ex. the ink pads).

IMPORTANT CORRECTION:  Two items that were included on the Retiring Accessories List are not actually retiring.
208   108360   Craft Scissors
208   103579   Paper Snips
Because these items were included in error, the Paper Snips will not be offered at a discounted price.

Remember....CHANGE IS GOOD!!!

On April 15th, the list of retiring stamp sets was released by Stampin' Up!.....
I will be back later in the week to post a stamping project....but today was BUSY!
I had my stamp club in the morning and then the afternoon was spent at the dentist's office having Andy's braces put on. He was quite the trooper!

THANKS for visiting!!

Have you ever made a card and I liked it.....but in the back of your mind was the nagging feeling that something was just not quite right. Well, as much as I liked my Mother's Day card from my previous post, I never really liked the flower stamped with Not Quite Navy. So today, I decided to make the same card and change it's the NEW version....
Here's the original......
Leave me a comment and let me know which you like better. Thanks for visiting!!

Ok, I know! BUT, I wanted my stamp club ladies to make a corner, of course, I had to make another one!!

This corner bookmark was inspired by a fellow demonstrator named Margaret deWitt. I found her bookmark on the demonstrator only website Stampin' Connection....which is where I find most of my inspiration.

No stamping at all on project! It's very simple and cute bookmark....but then I guess it needs to be simple since it will be tucked inside a book...and cute is just an added bonus! These bookmarks just make you want to read a book so that you'll have an opportunity to it!
(Don't look....but I accidentally layered crooked....Ahhh!!)

The colors I used were....Garden Green for the base, Wild Wasabi for the branch, Pacific Point (textured cardstock) for the bird and flowers and Early Espresso as a liner for the First Edition DSP.

THANKS for visiting!!!

Mother's Day Card

Today I'm sharing with you a card that we will be making at my upcoming Stamp Club. With Mother's Day just around the's never too soon to start preparing!

The card's base is Not Quite Navy....which is quickly becoming one of my favorite colors. I just can't seem to pull myself away from the new Mixed Bunch stamp set and coordinating Blossom I just keep using it! The DSP is the ever-beautiful Paisley Petals...this paper is WONDERFUL!!! The little 3/4" circle-punched image is stamped with River Rock topped with a pearl. The sentiment is from last year's SAB set Well Scripted.....I still LOVE that set!!!
This card is made using a flip card fold....the top and bottom flaps open up to reveal the inside. I don't usually show the innards of my card....but it is.....
The "Happy Mother's Day" is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set....another major FAVORITE!...stamped in Not Quite Navy....and the swirl is from the Elements of Style set and is stamped using River Rock.

THANKS for visiting!!!

My son is sooo SWEET!!!
I asked him if he wanted me to make him and bookmark and he said, "Sure Mom." Ahhh....isn't that so sweet of him?!

Of course, he didn't want ANYTHING remotely I pulled out what manly paper I had and this is what we came up with......
The "A" stands for my awesome Andy! Then he wanted (at my suggestion, of course) the Journey stamp from Defining Your Life set (sadly now retired)....he said it would coordinate well with the DSP.......WHAT AM I SAYING...I am sitting here laughing as I write this post....he didn't actually say "DSP" or the word "coordinate" fact, I don't think he has ever said those words in his life...he just said "Ok Mom, whatever." I think I just got all giddy over him saying I could make him a bookmark :-D
The men in my family are totally NOT interested in paper....unless the paper is a plate with food on it!

I know I'm goin' a bit nuts with the bookmarks....but I just LOVE them!!!
I'm pretty sure this will be the last one I post.....unless I come up with a really cool one for my April stamp club!

Until next time....find some time for stamping!!!

Well, here is the other corner bookmark that I made a couple of days ago.
I just LOVE these little guys!!

If you are interested in making these on your HERE for a link to the tutorial that I used on Splitcoast Stampers. Speaking of Splitcoast....their tutorials are terrific! They provide step-by-step instructions WITH PICTURES! They sometimes even provide a video tutorial....which is very helpful!
