CARD FOR BONES

Hey there Stampers!!

Hope your week is starting off wonderful.....mine certainly is!

Today, I wanted to share with you a card that I received from my blogger friend Lisa....she sent it a week or so ago when I shared with her about Bones (we are also chat buddies on Facebook). In fact, it was because of Bones' mother that we meet.....she has a cat that looks just like her! Thanks Lisa for being such a sweet friend!!!

CLASS CARD ~ FLOWER

Hi Stampers!

Well, since I am barely able to look at my previous post.....I thought I better put something else on here so that I don't get teary whenever I look at my own blog.

Today, the card I have to share with you is one that I made at stamp class a couple of weeks ago. It uses the With All My Heart stamp set and the Extra Large Fancy Flower punch from the Occasions Mini....this card was so super easy to make it wasn't even funny.

I plan to make this card again....maybe for one of my clubs.

Well....that's it for me today....I hope you have a GREAT weekend. I doubt that I will be able to post over the weekend, but hopefully will get back on Monday.

SOME SAD NEWS

Hi Stampers!

I've been putting off writing about this because it makes me so sad to think about.....but I thought it was time. At the beginning of April we went on vacation for Easter break and came back to learn that Bones, the kitty that we had nursed with a bottle, had been hit by a car and died. Very very sad for all of us.

Here is picture of him when he was sooo small......

He was a great cat and will be missed greatly!!!!

FOR THE NEWLYWEDS

Hi Stampers!

On Saturday, the daughter of our dear friends is getting married....and so this evening I sat down and made her a quick card. Her tastes are simple but elegant and so I wanted to make a card that was also simple and elegant....and here is what I came up with....

I started by stamping the big swirl from the Baroque Motifs stamp set with black on a half sheet of white....then I covered the entire front of the card with a quarter sheet of vellum (that is why the edges of the card look blurry). Then all I did was take a small piece of white cardstock and ran it through the Big Shot using an embossing folder and layered that with a piece of black cardstock. I put a scrap of white organza ribbon with a knot around the entire thing and attached it to the vellum with dimensionals. The sentiment is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes set.....stamped on white with black ink, punched with the large oval and layered on black cardstock that was punched with the scallop oval. EASY PEASY!!!

It must admit that it looks much better in real life. One of these days, I might have to cash in my white box that I take pictures in for something a wee bit better....but it works for now.
