CELEBRATE TODAY

Greetings,

Today's card is one that we made just the other day at my February Stamp Club....it uses the new Celebrate Today Photopolymer stamp set and the framelits that match from the Occasions catalog.  I love this set!  And what I love even more about it is that it is a Photopolymer set!  I love these stamps!  They cling to your blocks like crazy and I love how you can see exactly where you're going to be stamping!  Not sure I can ever stamp with anything else!

Here is the card.....nothing fancy about it.  You can't really tell from the photo...but the Happy Birthday balloon is popped up from the rest.  After I stamped the Bermuda Bay balloon, I noticed that there was a small spot that didn't get inked....but I left it because I thought it looked like light reflecting off the surface.....just re-enforces the fact that there are never any mistakes with stamping :-)
 Below is the inside...
Well, that's it for today.  I'll be back to share with you some cards that I made a couple of month ago that I've never posted.

Thanks for taking the time to visit!

Until next time...find some time for stamping!

FUN FLOWER BIRTHDAY CARD

Hey There!

Welcome back!

Today's card is another super super easy one!! I used the Bloom For You single stamp. I liked this little flower stamp....and what makes me like it even more is that it has a coordinating punch! I always love to get coordinating stamp sets and punches or dies...makes projects so easy!

Again, I apologize for the washed out colors....I'll have to figure out how to make the colors brighter.
I must admit that is isn't one of my favorite cards....but I found using Washi Tape more challenging than I thought.  Maybe I'll just have to keep working at it and see if I can't be more creative.

I've been making a conscious effort to stamp almost everyday and to post to my blog at least 2 times a week.....It's been challenging getting back in the habit of making time to blog and then thinking of something to write.  So, please bear with me as I get back into the groove!

Until next time, find some time for stamping! Hugs, Cindy

Simple Sheltering Tree Card

Hey There,

The other day I wanted to play with the new Sheltering Tree stamp set from the Occasions catalog so I made this really simple card that only took a few minutes to make....which is something I like.  The best part of starting something is finishing it...that is why I don't do cross stitch or other crafts that take weeks or months to complete...my attention span is just not up to that level.

Anyways, quick and easy....here it is:

The picture is a bit washed out.....but the green I used was Wild Wasabi....but it looks more like Always Artichoke in the picture.

Well, that's it for today....

Until next time, find some time for stamping!

January Club Card #2

Hey There!

Back again with the other card that we made at Stamp Club in January.

This card also uses the Lotus Blossom stamp set from the 2015 Sale-A-Bration catalog....I think I might cry when this set retires.

With this card I used only one color....Real Red...and I only used 2 of the stamp.  I stamped the highlighted part with full strength and then the lighter part was achieved by stamping off once.  So cute!
Here is the inside of the card....the same colors and process of used for these flower as well.

Here is the fold in the card....I folded back part of the front and adhered it down.

Well, that's it for today....I'll work at being more consistence and getting in the groove!

Until next time....find some time for stamping!

January Club Card #1

Hey There!

I know it's been over a month since I posted....but honestly....I just forget!  I guess that totally proves that I'm completely out of the habit of blogging.

I am just in love with the new Lotus Blossom stamp set that is free in the 2015 Sale-A-Bration catalog.  It is just BEAUTIFUL!!

The ink colors I used for this card were Pink Pirouette, Regal Rose (retired) and Melon Mambo...on the stems I used Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive.  The card's base is Pink Pirouette with a strip of retired Old Olive DSP.  The liners are Regal Rose and Old Olive.  The inspiration for this card came from a couple of other cards I saw on Pinterest....gotta love that sight!

Here is the inside of the card.....used the same colors.

Well, that's about it....I'll post the other card that we made as well in another post...that way I will be posting more :-)

Until next time....find some time for stamping!

Gift Card Tins

Greetings,

Hope you had a blessed, relaxing and wonderful Christmas Day!  We sure did.

Below are some gift card tins that I whipped up really fast just this year when I needed some gift cards holders at the last minute.  These types of items are perfect for using retired supplies and scraps.  They are made using the thin tins that Stampin' Up! was selling off about 3-4 years ago.....I have a stash of them and I use them sparingly...they are perfect for gift cards and gift coupons.  They are easily packaged up and mailed too :-)

Well, Christmas is over and it's now time to think about the New Year!  Boy, time sure goes by QUICK!

Until next time....find some time for stamping!

Timeless Lovely as a Tree Card

Greetings,

Today's card is stamped with one of the best stamp sets ever!  Lovely as a Tree....I think I'll break down and cry if they ever retire this set....it can used for pretty much every occasion known to man.
I wanted to show you a close up of the tree....it is embossed with Dazzling Diamonds.
I must apologize for the pictures since I fired up my blog....I've been using my phone and I don't think I'm very good at taking pictures of cards with it....plus, I need to learn how to crop them on my computer before I upload them...I've tried and I can't seem to save them...urgh!

Oh well....at least I'm blogging...right? :-)

Until next time, find some time for stamping

Christmas Tree Greetings

Season's Greetings,

I think these little trees are also from the 2012 Holiday Catalog.....I love them so much I just keep using them!  They are from the Scentsational Season stamp set and then cut using the coordinating Sceentsational framelits.
It's a simple card...which I'm sure was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest.  Pinterest is where I get all "my" ideas....I don't really have any original ideas :-)

That's all for today....I think this will be last "old" card....I'm anxious to get to the current stuff!

Thanks for visiting!

Until next time, find some time for stamping!

Simple Season's Greetings

Season's Greetings!

Here's another fun and easy Christmas card!  I remember that I really liked this card too.
The tree is cut from the now retired Perfect Pennants Bigz die.  I cut the garland with an .oval punch by just punching out slivers of Silver Glimmer paper.  The star is from the also now retired small star punch.

I'll be back with another oldie tomorrow.....only a couple of more and then I'll show you show I've been doing currently.

Thanks for visiting

Until next time, find some time for stamping!

Year's Worth of Christmas Cards

Greetings,

Over the next few days I will be sharing Christmas cards that I've made over the past couple of years.  I just finished digging out all the cards that I've made so that I can send them out this Christmas....yes, I know...it's a bit late, but like they say....better late than never!

I'll try and start with some of the oldest ones first....and then move to the newer ones....this one is from 2012!  Because if I remember right....this snowflake die was in the 2012 Holiday Catalog.
Here's another version that I made of the same card.....
I'll try and go through these old cards quickly so that we can get to the current goodies!

Thanks for visiting!

Until next time, find some time for stamping!

Second Club Card

Welcome,

Below is the second card that we will make on Thursday at Stamp Club.  It's SUPER easy!  It's a good one for using DSP scraps too....which seem to pile up and then multiply.
Of course, inspiration for this card also came from Pinterest....I really don't have any original ideas :-)  just ones that have been modified from others.

Until next time, find some time for stamping!

Club Card

Welcome!

Below is one of the cards that we will be making on Thursday at Stamp Club.  Inspiration for this card came from....where else......Pinterest!  Here is a link to the blog from where the card was pinned.

It's a very simple and easy card...which comes in handy this time of year.  I love the Festival of Trees stamp set and matching punch....makes the easy look complicated.
Colors used were Basic Gray, Very Vanilla, Garden Green, Real Red, and Smoke Slate.   I added a bit of bling with 3 small rhinestones on the tree.

I'll be back to show you the other card we will be making as well....It's a card that is great for using some DSP scraps.

Until next time, find some time for stamping!

CATCH UP CARD

Greetings,

Today I'm sharing a sympathy card that I made a couple of months ago using the French Foliage stamp set along with the Thoughts and Prayers stamp set and the Woodgrain background stamp.  I still the French Foliage set even though Stampin' Up! retired it :-(
That's all I have time for today....Thanks for visiting!

Until next time, find some time for stamping!

Addie's Christmas Wish....Which Could Be Her Last

This is came from Stampin' Up!'s website....

6-year-old girl asks for holiday cards for her last Christmas

The only thing six-year-old Addie Fausett has on her last Christmas list is cards—preferably the handmade kind.Addie Fausett, 6, of Fountain Green, Utah
Photo credit: Tami Fausett via TODAY.com

Addie, who has a condition called diffuse atrophy, and her family were told by doctors that this Christmas would probably be her last. So when we saw the article on TODAY.com describing this family's wish for their little girl's last Christmas, we thought, who better to make this gift happen than amazing Stampin' Up! demonstrators and their customers?

If you would like to participate and support this family during a difficult time, please take a few minutes to tell all of your cardmaking friends, and then send handmade cards to:
Addie Lynn and Sisters, P.O. Box 162, Fountain Green, UT 84632

Please think about sending this sweet girl a Christmas card....it's an easy thing that will mean so much to her.

Maybe I'll send her this card......
Until next time, find some time for stamping!

Firing Up the Ole Blog Again

Gosh!  It has been almost 2 years since I last blogged.  Wow!  Time goes by so quickly.  I didn't think that I would miss blogging...but I have!  I've thought about getting back into the swing of things countless times...but when I would log on....my blog was a mess.  Being a fairly non-techy person, I felt like it was just too much work. So, I've decided to fight against my lazy tendencies and just do it!

So here we go....

Well...I'm still alive and well and still stamping.  I've thought about trying to go back and give you an update of the last 2 years, but that just seems too overwhelming.  So...I'm drawing a line in the sand and just going to start in the here and now.  Maybe as time goes on I'll throw in some "old" news.

Below is a card that we made at a recent Stamp Club gathering....I love the Wondrous Wreath stamp set and the matching Wonderful Wreath framelits that are in the Holiday catalog.
Pretty much any time there is a stamp set that matches a punch or die/framelit....it becomes one of my favorites...the reason being....the combination of a stamp set and a punch/die make it so easy to create quick and easy cards that look like you've spent a ton of time working on them.  Easy and quick is always good for me.

Well...not too bad for me first post.  I feel really clumsy blogging....but also I'm excited about getting back to some regular blogging.

Thanks for visiting!

Until next time, find some time for stamping!

A CRAZY JANUARY

So far, 2013 hasn't been very kind to us.  It started out great with a super fun New Year's Day game day at our home, but then that terrible cold that lasts FOREVER hit!  I was sick for what seemed like AGES and then each member of the family has had their share of it.....Madison has been home from school for the last 2 days.

THEN....our computer CRASHED!  So, we have been without a computer for about 10 days.  You don't realize how dependent you are on technology until you don't have it....but you also realize how much time you spend (or waste) sitting in front of that computer screen.  Thankfully my work's computer genius was able to fix it...so we are now up and running again.

I will post a stamping project in the next couple of days.

Until next time, find some time for stamping!!

I have lots to blog about, but I am going to have to do that another day.

Until next time, find some time for stamping.....and stay WELL!!
