JAMIE'S SWAP CARD

Hi Stampers!

Today I am going to share with you a card made by my friend Jamie as a swap card for February's stamp club. It's so lovely and elegant....I just LOVE it!!!

She used the Emboss Resist technique for the flowers......she also stamped faint background images which really gave it some depth. She used the Darling Dots embossing folder on the bottom portion of the card....once again, no card seems complete without something Big Shot-ed (that should be a new word ;-o)
This card is really stunning in person.....I wish I had a camera that did cards like this one justice.

Thanks Jamie!!! You did a PERFECT JOB on this card!!!

I will be back soon and share with you my swap card.....but don't get too excited.....this card is a HARD act to follow :-)

Until next time, find some

time for stamping!!

Blessings......Cindy

MY CLUB SWAP CARD

Hi Stampers!! Thanks for stopping by for a visit.

Today, I finished making my card that I will be swapping at my monthly stamp club this coming Monday evening. We decided on a spring theme....and since the weather has been so fantastic lately, it seemed just perfect. I decided to make mine a Mother's Day card.....since that is coming up next month.

The card that I chose to do is cased (copied) from another SU demonstrator named Laurie Zoellmer. I found her card posted on Stampin' Connection...which is a demonstrator only website.....and I loved it. I changed the colors....but other than that the card is pretty much the same as hers. Thanks Laurie for such a great card!!!

The base of the card is Lovely Lilac, and the green layer is Kiwi Kiss (I just LOVE that color!!). I stamped the small flowers with Lovely Lilac and the large flower with Elegant Eggplant. The vine and sentiment are stamped with Kiwi Kiss.
The Kiwi Kiss liner is punched with the pinking hearts border punch that is in the Occasions Mini....I didn't care for this punch at first....but now I LOVE it!!! You never can have too many punches :-)

Well...that's it for me today. I will post pictures of all the gals' swaps after our Monday club meeting.

Until next time, find some time for stamping!!!

Blessings..........Cindy

THREE LITTLE WORDS

Hi Stampers....Hope you had a relaxing three day weekend. We did....the weather was PERFECT! It was sunny and warm and just perfect for bike riding and being outside. I know that I should feel a bit guilty since the rest of the country was being pounded with snow.....but the weather is definitely a perk to living in California......I don't think it's the only perk, but not too many more perks are popping into my brain right now.

OK.....on to why I have this blog.

Thought I would post the other card that we made at stamp club last Monday.....I love how this card came together. It wasn't difficult even though it has a few layers.....I think that the dry embossed background really sets the card off nicely. The cut out flowers mounted with dimensionals also gives the card some depth.
Well....that's it for me today. Thanks for taking the time to visit.
Until next time, find some time for stamping.

Blessings.........Cindy

BIG BUBBA'S & MADISON'S CARD

Hi there!

Well, just in case you were wondering....we had a very FUN time at dinner for my mother's birthday. Here's a picture of my mom with her official Big Bubba's birthday sticker....
We went to Big Bubba's Bad BBQ....the ribs tasted great and the kids had a good ol' time when they finally mustered up enough guts to ride the mechanical bull. At first, they didn't want to ride, not because of the ride itself, but because it's announced (very loudly, I might add) and broadcast throughout the entire restaurant on closed-circuit tv.....they were a bit embarrassed. But Andy was the first....he manned-up and then the others followed. Here's a picture of him sitting on the bull......
This was not him "officially" riding the bull.....he just jumped on so I could snap his picture.

Since it was a celebration.....we splurged and ordered these incredibly yummy onion rings....boy, they were worth every calorie too!!! You can tell that Andy is using every ounce of self-control in his little body not to devour them all.
We had loads of fun!!! Big Bubba's is definitely a place to go for special occasions.

Ok, before I forget, I wanted to show you the card that Madison made the other day......I think it turned out very cute. It looks like she combined the get well cards that we made on Monday and by doing so made this darling Friends card. All I did on the card was tie the bow......She did a GREAT job!!!!
Well.....that's all for today. Tomorrow I will show you what I did Sunday afternoon just havin' some fun.

Until next time, find some time for stamping.
Blessings to you.......Cindy
